Attorney Shannon M. Kos, the lead attorney for Collins Einhorn Farrell’s Fire and Explosion Litigation group, has been certified by OSHA in Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER). OSHA developed the HAZWOPER standard to protect workers at hazardous sites, including those involving release or potential release of hazardous materials. This is the second certification for Kos, who is also a certified Fire and Explosion Investigator by the National Association of Fire Investigators. She is one of only a handful of attorneys in the United States to hold these certifications.
Kos has over twenty years of experience successfully defending product liability lawsuits against product manufacturers, property owners, and other entities and individuals involving complex property damage and personal injury related to asbestos and fire and explosion. She has a proven success record in asbestos and fire and explosion litigation, including proven trial experience and a high success rate of pre-suit dismissal.
Kos is a member of the DRI Fire Science Committee, National Fire Protection Association, International Association of Arson Investigators, and the National Association of Fire Investigators.
