Noreen Slank and Deborah Hebert, who also head up the firm’s Appellate practice group, along with Timothy Casey strategically represent the firm’s coverage clients by:

  • Advising insurers on claims handling matters;
  • Advising insureds on the adequacy of their coverage;
  • Preparing formal opinion letters;
  • Drafting reservation of rights and declination of coverage letters.
  • Handling summary disposition practice and appeals when coverage disputes lead to litigation.

Our firm is committed to providing clients with guidance and advice to minimize exposure or unwarranted claims and to avoid bad faith exposure.  In the event an insurance coverage dispute becomes a lawsuit, however, expert litigators Brian Einhorn and Kevin Moloughney step in and handle our client’s defense.

The depth and breadth of the firm’s leadership in the field of insurance coverage is emphasized by the fact that Noreen Slank is one of three editors of Michigan Insurance Law & Practice.  Published by the Institute for Continuing Legal Education in Ann Arbor, it is the only book on Michigan insurance law.  Deborah Hebert joined as co-author of the chapter on CGL coverage in the second edition.  Deborah Hebert is also a Council Member of the recently formed Insurance and Indemnity Section of the Michigan State Bar.  Our experienced attorneys have made a name for the firm and themselves through the expertise they provide to insurance companies, their industry leadership, and their many accomplishments in this area of law.
