Noreen Slank has been honored as one of 10 lawyers practicing in Michigan, to receive Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s 2007 Lawyers of the Year award. Honorees are selected from among the almost 40,000 practicing lawyers in Michigan, based upon remarkable accomplishments and contributions to their profession as well as their commitment to the rule of law. Slank was recognized for her successful fight in Trentadue v Gorton, 479 Mich 378 (2007) to end the common law discovery rule and to restore a legislatively mandated statute of limitations.
