Attorney Noreen L. Slank has been recognized by Best Lawyers as the 2017 Appellate Practice “Lawyer of the Year” in Metro Detroit. This is the second time Ms. Slank has received the “Lawyer of the Year” recognition. Slank is also one of eleven attorneys within the firm who have been listed in The Best Lawyers in America©2017, recognized for her work in the fields of Appellate Practice, Insurance Law, and Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants. She has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for the past 11 consecutive years.
Since it was first published in 1983, Best Lawyers has been regarded the definitive guide to legal excellence, and is cited as “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice” by Corporate Counsel magazine. Best Lawyers has since partnered with U.S. News®, the leading rankings publication in the U.S., to rank law firms in the United States. Best Lawyers is based on an extensive peer-review survey in which more than 79,000 leading attorneys cast almost 6.7 million detailed evaluations on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas. Because lawyers are not permitted to pay any fee to participate, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor.
Only a single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is honored for their outstanding accomplishments as the “Lawyer of the Year,” making this accolade particularly significant. These lawyers are selected based on particularly impressive voting averages received during the peer-review assessments, including high marks in the areas of professionalism, talent and integrity. This is the seventh consecutive year that attorneys at Collins Einhorn have received the prestigious “Lawyer of the Year” recognition.
“This award recognizes Noreen’s high quality of work and dedication to the legal profession,” stated Neil W. MacCallum, Chairman of Collins Einhorn. “This honor is well deserved.”
