James J. Hunter
Jim focuses his practice on the defense of claims against a wide variety of professionals, including attorneys, accountants, and real estate professionals. As a member of the Professional Liability practice group, Jim is dedicated to protecting the rights and livelihoods of professionals serving the community. Before joining the firm, Jim worked on complex litigation and Federal white-collar criminal defense. He has experience representing business clients in healthcare fraud cases, wire and mail fraud, insider trading, antitrust investigations, and many high-profile cases including the Flint Water Crisis. Additionally, Jim served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Wayne County, Michigan.
While in law school, Jim was the International Editor for the Sustainable Development Law & Policy publication and clerked for the Office of the General Counsel for the Department of the Air Force at the Pentagon.
