Donald Campbell participated in a program with Doug Richmond, Senior VP at Aon Insurance, addressing the propriety of non-refundable retainers. The issue was whether the Michigan Supreme Court’s decision in GA v Cooper and the recent rules changes in Illinois represent a trend in allowing non-refundable retainers. Donald Campbell represented Patricia Cooper in her successful appeal to the Michigan Supreme Court which entered an order endorsing non-refundable retainers.
