Jennifer has over 20 years of litigation experience handling diverse and complex litigation matters from pre-suit negotiations through trial.  Jennifer has represented a wide variety of clients, including construction, trucking, cannabis, engineering, architecture, hospitality, automotive, and non-profit organizations.

Jennifer’s practice includes insurance coverage litigation and insurance coverage analysis. As part of her practice, she assists in coverage litigation related to claims for property damage, construction defects, fraud and misrepresentation, personal and advertising injury, occupational and accident injury, and bodily injury claims.

Community Involvement

Jennifer is a co-founder of the Northville Middle School Dance Program, a competitive dance team for middle school age children in Northville Public Schools that provides an opportunity to study the art of dance in a school-supported setting.

Jennifer is an attorney volunteer at the Pope Francis Center Aid Legal Clinic, providing legal assistance and information for residents experiencing homelessness.

She also volunteers at the Detroit Legal Services Clinic sponsored by the Detroit Bar Association, providing legal assistance in a wide variety of areas including domestic relations, child support, expungement, and pro-se representation.

Obtained Summary Disposition on products liability and general negligence action in wrongful death matter (wherein three month old infant, infant’s grandmother and great-grandmother all passed away due to carbon monoxide asphyxiation) in favor of defendant used automobile dealership and repair shop. Brewer v. Express Auto, et al, Case No. 22-07183-NI (Kent County Circuit Court)(Hon. Scott Noto)

Obtained dismissal of claims of breach of contract, eavesdropping, tortious interference, and request for injunction against defendant cosmetic surgical center and physician. Michigan Cosmetic Sand Reconstructive Surgery Center, P.C. v. Awada, et al, Case No. 23-204573-CB (Oakland County Circuit Court) (Hon. Michael Warren)

Obtained dismissal of federal antitrust and conspiracy suit against consensus sports equipment standards development organization; and successfully defended appeal in the Sixth Circuit. Hobart-Mayfield, Inc. v. National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment, No. 21-1441 (6th Cir. 2022) (recommended for publication).

Obtained summary judgment for client wastewater treatment manufacturer against plaintiff’s claims under the Sherman Act, Lanham Act, and state law unfair business practices and tortious interference claims in the Eastern District of Michigan. Geomatrix, LLC v. NSF International et al, No. 3:3030cv13331 (E.D.Mich. 2022).

Successfully argued for dismissal of breach of warranty action in Van Buren Circuit County Circuit as a discovery sanction.
