Amy E. Carlson

Summary
Amy Carlson is a valued member of our Transportation Liability practice group. After earning a degree in Political Science, Amy found herself uncertain about what path to take next. She chose to go to law school. What began as a practical decision soon turned into a deeply fulfilling career. Over time, Amy discovered that her natural strengths in logic and problem-solving made legal work not only a good fit, but something she genuinely enjoys.
Since graduating from law school in 2008, Amy has developed a wide-ranging legal practice, working in both plaintiff and defense firms, and holding positions in litigation and non-litigation roles. While she has worked across many areas of law, she has maintained a consistent presence in Auto Negligence and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) law throughout her career.
Known for being hardworking, thorough, and analytical, Amy brings a strategic, well-rounded approach to every case. She is especially motivated by the intellectual challenge of applying complex legal frameworks to real-world problems.
Outside the office, Amy is a devoted parent, an avid reader, and the proud caretaker of a dog, two guinea pigs, and a bearded dragon—pets that were originally for her children but have since become hers in practice. She hopes to one day visit Italy and values nothing more than spending meaningful time with her family. “They’re my biggest motivation,” she says. “Everything I do is to give them security, opportunity, and quality time together.”
