Summary

Matthew was born and raised in Metro Detroit and is a proud Western Michigan University Bronco, where his early passion for leadership and community engagement took shape. Though he began his studies as a Theater Major, he soon shifted to Political Science — a change that reflected his natural curiosity and his drive to understand people, systems, and the stories behind them.

Matthew’s path to the legal profession began with a desire to advocate for athletes and entertainers whose talents enrich and inspire others. Over time, his practice evolved, and he discovered a broader passion for resolving complex disputes and protecting clients’ interests across a wide range of matters. Today, his work focuses on Commercial Litigation, 1st and 3rd Party Auto Defense, Premises Liability, and Malpractice Defense.

Clients and colleagues describe Matthew as passionate, energetic, and empathetic — a collaborative problem-solver who approaches every case with preparation, creativity, and care. He believes that the best results come not only from knowing the law, but from understanding the people involved and the relationships that shape each matter.

Beyond his legal practice, Matthew serves on the Board of the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance, providing counsel on legal issues and supporting the organization’s mission to advance awareness and advocacy — a cause deeply personal to him. His work inside and outside the courtroom reflects his belief that integrity, compassion, and purpose are the foundation of lasting impact.
