CEF has been on a journey to broaden our slate of talent, increase transparency in promotion, and solidify our commitment to the diverse communities surrounding our practice. We are dedicated to addressing the systemic issues of exclusion and marginalization of women lawyers, underrepresented racial and ethnic lawyers, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities. Over the past 18 months, we have documented this journey and our progress through the Mansfield Certification, facilitated by Diversity Lab.
CEF did not just meet our goal of obtaining certification, we exceeded it. Our Certification “Plus” status indicates that, in addition to successfully meeting the consideration and transparency requirements, our firm has achieved at least 30% representation of historically underrepresented lawyers in current leadership roles and pathway activities.
