For Dan Campbell, practicing law is about helping people solve problems through thoughtful writing, strong advocacy, and creative strategy. He especially enjoys developing a plan to defend his clients and finding novel approaches to complicated legal challenges.

Before attending Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he earned his J.D., magna cum laude, Dan worked as a respiratory therapist in a range of hospital settings, including trauma, emergency, intensive care, and surgery. He later worked in medical device sales. His experience outside of law gave him a firsthand understanding of the people and circumstances behind the issues he now encounters as an attorney.

Dan approaches each matter with the goal of understanding his client’s needs and developing a strategy that serves them. One of his most satisfying results came from resolving a negligence case for a client who feared an accident he did not cause could jeopardize his financial security and plans for retirement. For Dan, helping a client find relief and move forward is one of the most rewarding parts of his work.

Dan is motivated by his family and strives to show his children the importance of working hard for the things they care about. Outside of the office, he enjoys running, golf, cooking, music, and collecting sports, music, and entertainment memorabilia. He is also a longtime music fan and recently picked up the trumpet again so he could share his love of music with his children.
